The Town of Ocean City MD has passed a new ordinance that goes into effect beginning May 1, 2016. This new ordinance will prohibit trailer parking on city streets and city owned parking lots from May 1 to October 31. When planning a trip to Ocean City with a trailer make sure to check with your hotel, motel, condo or other accommodations for their trailer parking locations.
The City and all current events that have trailers are working on plans to provide participant trailer parking at pre-determined locations. In addition there will be a special trailer permit to allow trailer parking on certain streets but the details have not been finalized. This new ordinance is being enacted in response to the ever growing motor sports events that are currently taking place in Ocean City and follows the current ones that prohibit oversize vehicles and boat trailers parking on city streets and city parking lots.
